I am as an architect. Part of my job is to listen to my customers. Actually, this is very crucial part. During those conversations I usually hear what my customers want their renovated apartment to look like, what they unquestionably don’t want, what are they scared of et cetera. What I have noticed during those discussions is that there are a few things that are common for most of my customers. Plenty of them wanna have very modern house, that would look a bit different than houses of all their people. Simultaneously, they are really scared to go creative. Firstly I was pretty angry about this and was trying to fight with this kind of attitude. After a while, I did find a solution I can offer for such clients. My solution is… wallpapers. They enable to go crazy, but at the same time- look elegant. I am going to give you 2 concrete examples of that.

1 of my customer was a manager of a well-known bank. He wanted his home to be extremely elegant and impressive. In other words- he wanted his friends to be jealous about how great apartment he has. It is was also very important for him that his guests know that he has this amazing taste – read something more. He insisted to keep all very elegant and simple. At the neginning, he didn’t even wanted to hear about wallpapers.

Nonetheless, I managed to convinced him that this can be highly good option for him. As a result of this, he can show to his guests not just his elegant side, but also that more crazy one. We agreed to use stadium wallpaper in his living room. These days, he seems to be very happy with his choice.
Last month I was also designing house of successful business woman. As we really liked each other, during our conversation we were also talking about our dreams, past etc.. She admitted that she used to travelling when she was a student and that she eventually has travelled over 20 countries.

These days, she can’t travel anymore because she is too busy with duties. However she hopes that she would be able to do it when she is retired. Therefore, I suggested that we find map mural in her bathroom. As a result of this, she may wake up every day, seeing the world and all of those amazing countries that are waiting for her and that she would see in the future.
